What does the ‘right to access’ mean?
This right means being able to examine and, if necessary, to obtain copies of documents that concern the public administration and public services concessions.
Who has the right to access these documents?
Anyone who is directly concerned by the document(s) in question and whose concern is judicially protected and connected to the document(s).
How to access documents
Administrative copies of documents are issued on request by the Ufficio per le Relazioni con il Pubblico (the Public Relations Office, also known as U.R.P.).
There's a photocopy charge when more than 4 pages are requested:
- black and white - € 0,05 per side A4
- black and white - € 0,10 per side A3
Municipal notice board (albo pretorio)
Some deeds are required by law to be published and therefore be open to the public. They will be posted on the municipal notice board, where they can also be printed for anyone who requires a copy. There is a photocopy charge when more than 4 copies are requested:
- black and white € 0,05 per side A4
- black and white € 0,10 per side A3

The office is in Piazza della Signoria no.1, Palazzo Vecchio – 2nd floor
Hours: Monday to Friday from 8:30 am - 1 pm and from 3 pm – 5.15 pm
Tuesday and Thursday from 3 pm - 5:15 pm
