Line 4
Line 4, which is provided for by the Structure Plan and which has now been approved by the feasibility study, expanding along the Leopolda-Indiano route (formerly Cascine railway)-Le Piagge.
The layout of Line 4, allows for interventions to recover the railway tracks already existing from Leopolda, the recovery of the “former Tobacco Factory” area and the implementation of a new road connecting Pistoiese-Rosselli and the New Bridge of Barco Stradale. In the agreement signed in 2011, RFI (Italian Railway Network) has in fact committed to the City Council, to dismantle to the the railway infrastructure for the Cascine/Leopolda line.
The next phases of design and execution have not yet been begun.
