Portalegiovani/Florence Youth Web Portal - Portalegiovani is an interactive website that uses new technologies to connect with young people and to publicize in real time all that is offered at the local level regarding recreational activities, training sessions, jobs, mobility, the volunteering, and also includes up to-date information on sports, music, theatre, cinema, the arts and literature.
Informagiovani/Youth Information Office - Informagiovani is an office dedicated to providing information and guidance in the following areas: training courses, employment, exchanges in Europe, volunteer work, and recreation. The offices of Informagiovani also contain space for specialization courses and information sessions led by experts, as well as free Internet stations and wifi access.
COMMUNICATION AND PARTICIPATION:
Open Network - Fishing for fresh ideas - "Rete Aperta" provides an open channel of communication between young people and the Florence City Administration. This channel can serve as a way for youth to make their needs known but is also meant to allow the administration to tap into the fertile ground of their ideas. Won't you be a part of Rete Aperta? We are fishing for fresh ideas!

Youth self-employment - Training seminars are available to help youth who want to be self-employed.
University study spaces - Study spaces are available at the Palazzo dei Giovani, Stazione di Confine and Exfila where university students can study in the evenings, with wifi access and snack bar: Palazzo dei Giovani (vicolo S.M. Maggiore) is open from 6 pm till midnight. Stazione di Confine (via Attavante) and ex Fila (via Leto Casini) are open from 6 pm till 11 pm.
University bicycle rental - Free bike rentals at the Casa dello Studente in viale Morgagni (3 times/week).
ART COMPETITIONS:
Florence by night/National Photography Competition - "Firenze, la notte..." is a national photography competition whose aim is to promote artistic creativity of youth through the language of photography. The competition is sponsored by Firenze dei Teatri, Fratelli Alinari Fondazione per la Storia della fotografia, Editrice progresso and Associazione Alberghi per la Gioventù. Participation is free. The competition is open to youth ages 14-35 and has as its theme "Florence by night" (deadline October 9).
Pencils for Peace/National Cartoonists' Competition - "Matie per la Pace" is a national competition, now in its sixth year, sponsored by the International School of Comics, Emergency and Fondazione Sistema Toscana. The competition is aimed at young people from 14-35 years of age and is divided into two sections, illustrations and comics. Participation is free (deadline October 2). The competition will be judged by Vauro, a professional cartoonist.
